Clarity alternative: know what to fix, not just what to watch

Microsoft Clarity records your visitors' sessions and draws heatmaps, for free. Lysible records nobody: it reads your Google data and analyzes how your pages render, to tell you which ones to fix first, and how.

What Microsoft Clarity alternative tells you what to improve on your site?

The short answer

Clarity shows what your visitors do, but you have to watch the sessions to draw a conclusion. Lysible starts from the other end: it finds in your Google data the pages losing traffic or conversions, analyzes how they render and tells you what to fix. The two work well together.

The verdict

Which one is right for you?

They do not meet the same need. Here is how to decide in two minutes.

Lysible
is the right choice if:
  • You installed Clarity, and the recordings pile up without anyone watching them.
  • You want to know which pages deserve a closer look before you watch any sessions.
  • You would rather not add a tracker to your site or to your cookie banner.
Microsoft Clarity
is the right choice if:
  • You want to see a visitor's real journey, click by click.
  • You are looking for rage clicks and buttons that don't respond.
  • You are testing a new page and want to see how far people scroll.

What really changes day to day

Beyond the feature list, three differences you notice in the first week.

1

You know which page to watch first

Clarity records everyone, everywhere. Lysible first points to the pages losing traffic or conversions, where a session is worth watching.

2

A look at the page, with no tracker

Lysible Vision analyzes how your pages render, the way a visitor sees them, and spots friction points. Nothing to install, nothing to add to the cookie banner.

3

A conclusion, not hours of video

Each finding comes with the fix, its effort and its impact. The time saved on watching recordings goes into the fixes.

Visitor behavior, already interpreted

In this exchange, Lysa notices that visitors spend several minutes on the homepage without clicking the sign-up button, and offers to look for the cause together, starting from the structure of the page.

It is the question you ask yourself when looking at a heatmap. Here, it comes already asked, with your numbers.

What Clarity does very well, for free

Clarity records sessions, up to 100,000 a day per project, and draws click, scroll and area heatmaps. It spots rage clicks and dead clicks, and its Copilot AI sums up sessions in a few lines. All of it is free, with no traffic limit.

The limits to know about in Europe

Since October 31, 2025, Clarity requires a consent signal for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Without consent, it sets no cookie and gives each page view its own identifier: the pages of a single visit are no longer linked. So you need a script on the site and a place in the cookie banner.

Recordings are kept for 30 days, except favorites and a sample kept for up to 9 months. The data is stored on Microsoft's Azure cloud.

Clarity and Lysible: in what order

Start with Lysible to know which pages are losing traffic or conversions, and why. Then open Clarity on those pages only, to confirm the cause by watching a few sessions. Our landing page audit method details this approach.

Where Lysible is not the best choice

A comparison that finds no fault with its author is worth nothing. Here is what works in the other option's favor, and who it matters to most.

  • Seeing real visitors. Nothing beats a recording to understand a specific blocker: a form field that drives people away, a button nobody finds.
  • Heatmaps. Clicks, scrolling and areas show at a glance what gets seen and what gets ignored.
  • Completely free. No traffic limit, and up to 100,000 sessions recorded a day per project.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often on this topic.

Does Lysible record my visitors' sessions?

No. Lysible installs no code on your site: it reads your Google Analytics 4 and Search Console data and analyzes how your pages render. To replay sessions, Clarity is still the right tool, and the two work together.

Is Microsoft Clarity GDPR compliant?

Since October 31, 2025, Clarity requires a consent signal for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Without consent, it sets no cookie and does not link the pages of a single visit. So it has to go through your cookie banner, like Google Analytics.

Can I use Clarity and Lysible together?

Yes, and it is the most effective way to use them. Lysible points to the pages losing traffic or conversions and suggests the fix. Clarity then lets you replay a few sessions on those pages to confirm the cause.

What is Lysible Vision?

It is Lysible's visual analysis: it examines how your pages render, the way a visitor sees them, spots friction points and cross-checks them against your data and your goals. It is included in the Performance and Enterprise plans, and in the 30-day trial.

How much does Lysible cost?

The Analyst plan costs €89 excl. VAT per month and the Performance plan €129 excl. VAT, with visual page analysis on top. The free trial lasts 30 days on the Performance plan, with no credit card. Without a subscription afterwards, the account moves to a limited free version.

Watch fewer sessions. Fix the pages that matter first.

The trial includes Lysible Vision, the visual analysis of your pages. Keep Clarity to replay the sessions that count.

Free 30-day trial, no credit card. Your first analysis is ready in a minute, Google connection included.
